Online Graphic Organizers

Here is a delicious stack for online graphic organizers. These are all interactive online so they can be used in a whole group setting with an interactive board, student computer for individual or small group work or even in a lab setting. Some of them require an account and some do not. I have tried to label them in the stack. The sites that you don't need an account to use I find easier to fit into lesson plans because students can go directly to the website and start working. The main problem is that they would need to have enough time to finish the assignment because they only have the print option at the end.

My favorite is on the ReadWriteThink website. There are several interactive organizers like shape poems, character trading cards, and basic maps like the K-W-L creator. Students do not need a log in so they can go directly to the link and create the map. When they are finished they can print. I see this being a very helpful link for moving into Common Core Curriculum where students can interact with different texts.

One of the others that I liked was Holt Interactive Graphic Organizers. These look like worksheets that you can click and print, however students can type information into the maps online then print.

I hope you find these sites helpful!
